We stopped here on our last night in town and glad we did! The bartender was friendly as could be and made us the BEST burger we EVER had (no joke AWESOME)! We will definitely be back!
Update 08/06/24 still cool, play pull tabs too. I like old taverns and this fits the mold. Beer wine only. The world Famous Burger was fine. Friendly local folks. Sports on the TVs. Covered Out door seating and smoking area
Love this spot. From the famous cheeseburger with an unbelievable amount of cheese on it to the chainsaw carving of John Wayne, this place is Hadlocks best bar.

No other way to say it...this place is AWESOME! Great food, great people, great service...always. World Famous burger or Friday Night Fish & Chips and everything in between...you can’t go wrong. Unless you want a couple cold Yellow jackets...seems to be a shortage right now hahaha! Yeah, it’s cash only. Quit whining and hit the ATM. Yup, it’s a tavern, so leave the kiddos at home. And YES, you will see the Hawks, Ms, Kraken etc on game days, so get down there and have a hot bigger and a cold beverage...you won’t be disappointed. Any bad reviews you see are people who don’t understand what a real small town, yet world famous, tavern is and should be. Oh yeah...wanna play BACON BINGO?? Well, you gotta go to the Valley for all the details!
The cheeseburger was piled high with onions and grated cheese cooked to perfection. Juicy and delicious! Washed down with a local craft beer. We will be making this a regular stop on our visits to the Port Townsend area!
This place is fantastic! Great mellow dive bar vibe without the dirtyness. The bartenders are super friendly, and they have some of the best bar food I've ever had. I would go with fish on Fridays, steak on Tuesdays, or a burger anytime. The guy who cooks the steaks is from Texas, and he grills them perfectly. His grill skills are on point. I went there once with a friend who doesn't eat beef, and the veggie burger is top notch too. It's a total hidden gem.
